Leicester agreed a 10m fee for Ward

Proper little merry-go-round of keepers moving now. Leicester getting a replacement for Schmiechel who's been looked at by Chelsea & Roma.

I don't think he will leave but if he did it want at least another 10 on top of that and a replacement

With the Ox injury stuff going on I doubt any midfielder will be leaving.

Can see first choice midfield being Keita/Fabino/Hendo with Gini and Milner getting plenty of minites as back up.

Preferably I would have kept Ward for the bench and shipped out the other two confirmed idiots but 10 million seems decent money to recoup.

Think that's why he has gone in the end. Not sure Karius or Mignolet could attract that fee.

Realistically it will be harder to sell either, but possibly harder to sell Karius than Mignolet now.

We talk about Karius as #2, but the first time he's called upon, watch the anxiety level go through the roof.

I actually think that from a team chemistry perspective, Simon would be better for that role, even though I agree Karius is probably better - it's just all the baggage that Loris has created now (or has happened to him).

Not expecting this as I'm sure Simon will want to play somewhere, but almost rather we bring in some veteran English keeper who is OK with being a backup, and loaning or selling Karius.

I do not want to see Simon Mignolet at this club come 11th August.

Based on what? You guys must think Jürgen is being stupid then becuase Ward has consistently been our number 3 despite Migs and Karius being very far from perfect, do you not think there might be a reason for that?

I wouldn't, imagine if Alisson gets injured and we have to rely on Karius to tend goal with his fu**ed up confidence, its actually why I'm a bit surprised we sold Ward. we need a #3 who we can use as #2 just in case, unless that is Migs in which case what a dilema!!

Ward is 25 and was never going to make it here so to move him on is the right decision for me.
