Heres a crazy idea. Lets wait to see if we sign him, then if we do sign him lets give him a few games to make a proper call on him, and t he same for any other player.

Love the way people think they know a players attributes better then the person actually trying to sign the player. "He was sh*t at Villa" was he? Or was he in a s*it team, was he playing a role not suited to his game and our style will bring out the best in him?

The last post says theres a common trend on us missing out on our targets well theres another trend and thats people on here constantly rubbishing players before they have played a few games for the club or indeed even signed.. Seriously if we have a genuine link to a player give your opinion on that players strenghts and weaknesses and weigh it up dont say "hes sh*t" because you dont know more then our manager our coaches or our scouts and if you do or think you do get off teh forum and get a job at a proessional club as your talents are wasted here

My post wasnt aimed at anyone in particular but as you have replied and  judging by your reply you dont rate or want bertrand would you at least list the cons of the player that turns you off us signing him. Its easy to say player x is class or is shi* but at least give your reasons for it is all Im saying. And as for you me or anyone else on this forum or on the street I highly doubt we know the pros and cons of players like the people at our club and other clubs who are paid to cast an eye over players do to think we can judge a player better then they can (Konchesky aside) is far fetched
