According to Klopp, he's going nowhere, and neither is Hummels.

Jürgen Klopp has ruled out Manchester United signing the central defender Mats Hummels and has said that Marco Reus will not be leaving Borussia Dortmund either. The attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

“I can assure everyone that there are no signs that those two players want to leave. Marco and Mats will play for us the next season,” Klopp said on the 19:09 Uhr show on Wednesday night.

He added: “What are we talking about today? Mats to Manchester United? For how much? €20m (£15.8m)? With those kind of sums can you forget that straight away.”

United, who are in the United States on their pre-season tour, have already signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw but Louis van Gaal is looking to strengthen the squad further.

Really, what if he never recovers properly! Ridiculous statement.

What if Markovic loses a leg? What if Can gets a disease? What if, what if, what if....

I'll join the group that say this should be locked.  Not only have liverpool said there's no interest,  his manager said he won't be leaving. This rumour started by fans it seems.

So next season it is then then... that is if Klopp's past record on insisting that Gotze and Lewandowski are "going nowhere" is anything to go by. Ah well... at least we tried.    :f_tongueincheek:

Well since you aren't a mod it doesn't really matter if you want it locked.

Sadly no.  Reus will be 26 next year and may be just too old by then to fit in with FSG's structure of buying young players who will double or treble in value. :f_tongueincheek:

At least most seem to agree that this is the type of signing that if we did make an offer that was accepted, and if he did agree to come, would improve the team.

If Reus has another exceptional season, with his release clause rumoured to be £30m next season, I really can't see us winning his signature :(

We have signed a fully fit player unlike what you are suggesting take a punt on a player even if has been out for a year. That would be madness, so yes guilty i am probably a half full kind of guy  ;)

I don't imagine that clause will ever be allowed to take effect.  Dortmund will renegotiate his contract in order to bump that release clause up closer to 60M-70M (or possibly even higher) so that they can guarantee that they receive full value for their prized asset if/when he does leave.  We did the same thing with Suarez.  They will probably have to entice him with a nice fat pay rise, but it will be worth it for them as they will easily be able to get double the 30M if he has another standout season.

Marco Reus to SNUB Liverpool and sign for Bayern Munich instead
MARCO REUS is set to snub the advances of Liverpool and join Bayern Munich instead next summer.

The 25-year-old has garnered interest from a plethora of Premier League clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea.

Brendan Rodgers has already lavished £60million this summer and his spending this window is likely to smash the £100m barrier.

But according to reports surfacing in Germany, Reus is poised to join Bayern in a £28m move next summer and reunite with his former team-mates Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski.

It is believed Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the midfielder who missed the World Cup with an ankle injury.

The potential move would hit Liverpool hard who are looking to strengthen their attacking options following Luis Suarez's departure.

Meanwhile, Loic Remy is expected to complete his £8.5m switch to the Reds within the next 24 hours.

Liverpool could also sell Fabio Borini to Sunderland for £14m.

The Express's source from this story is probably that the ghost of Princess Diana told one of it's journalists that this was happening. It seems totally wrong in the sense that he's not snubbed Liverpool because we've not even approached him and he's not decided to go to Bayern Munich. Only the Express and their mad hatter journalists could come up with a double sh*t sandwich of a story.

No, but to make up for the heatwave and Princess Diana stories already being used this week, the Express will no doubt find some more secret diaries from Hitler's bunker, or house prices will rise/fall by 10%
