He knows where the back of the net is no doubt, only niggle would be has he fully recovered from his ACL. But I suppose with a loan it's not a gamble which will bankrupt us.

He has scored so many boss goals! Some of these you'd expect to have been from Suarez with the audacity to even attempt them.

Barrett reporting he is our preferred choice as long as Real don't come in. So basically we need Di Maria to stay at Real and we get Falcao - holy f**k let it happen.........

That would be a huge signing.
Suarez and Torres were younger players on the rise and in need of a move to a bigger club
Falcao is in a very different situation.
To be aiming for him and to potentially sign the player is a massive statement from the club.
Would be 100% in favor of him over Mario.
      Wow.

It'd be nice (assuming we do sign him) if we could have him before the City game.

Considering the whole thing depends on what happens to Di Maria I see this going down to deadline day.

Will Monaco cover a portion of his outlandish (tax free) wages if its a loan? What kind of wages will he ask for here? Are they realistic? I understand he's a world class player dont get me wrong. Imo it would be the biggest obstacle to a deal.

      Totally agree.
Can see Mr Ayre & Rodgers having a busy day come the end of the month.
Reckon 3 will go out at least and 2 more coming in

Would be a boss signing assuming he can get back to his pre-injury form and fitness.  Not going to get worked up about it though as it probably won't happen....

There is not a chance in hell of this materializing. I hope I'm wrong.

With Balotelli incoming I'd guess this one is dead in the water?

Apparently not, I've heard if Falcao doesn't go to Madrid we would still be in for him. Could maybe move on Borini then if that were the case.

Really? Personally I cannot see it myself but I'd certainly welcome it if it were to happen.

I guess it's like with Sakho, when Brendan said they didn't plan to sign him, but once the opportunity came up they snapped him up straight away. If a good player is available to us on the market then we'll make a move.

As I understand, his anterior cruciate ligament was damaged but NOT snapped.
As ACLs go, it was on the lesser side of the spectrum.

This could be of huge importance re his ability and any deal.

If Balo is coming for relatively low end wages and fee(certainly vs Suarez) then there could be the chance of another fwd player. We have lots of games, Borini can go, and it will allow us to rest younger players like Marko and Sterl.

A huge burden has been placed on Raheem's shoulders and we havent got a good record with younger players in the past ( all the "golden generation" retired early thro injury). I'd like us to be able to rest our young players thro the season.

Was always too big a risk by putting all of our eggs in this one basket for a recognised FWD and what with Di Maria rejecting new terms it's going to force some frantic action between the big boys this week. A scenario where we could well have ended up being the biggest losers because of our rigidity in fees and wage demands.

Hopefully he's still on Brendan's wishlist but at least it's reassuring to know that we've at least got somebody here already - just-in-case!

Gone incredibly quiet on here. Would still be nice to get Falcao in, with Mario learning a thing or two from him. Understandably Falcao would be a short term option, but if he wanted his move to Madrid then he'd still have to perform to a high level.

      Make it happen.
