I'm guessing Moreno will probably get a start first. Think it'll take an injury to him or Gomez for Enrique to get on the bench or into the first 11. Whether we like it or not that is the current state of affairs.

Bordeaux aren't the force they were a few seasons ago but it'll still be a tough ace for us to go and win away there. We notoriously struggle away in Europe since Rafa left. We didn't even beat Ludogorets in CL

I think we need to mix things up a little for this game. Certainly the squad players can hardly do worse than the "first teamers" have.

I would be up for fielding an entire team of squad and reserve players surely they can't do any worse.

Yup, and I'd like to see big changes to the formation, personnel, and tactics. Get a player into a central attacking position to support Benteke. Play structured, organized passes with pace and purpose. Engage our fullbacks on the overlap and whip crosses into the big man. Defend in numbers and pick your moments to either counter with pace or slow it down and keep possession. We are poor at CM so our engine room is never going to be spectacular this season, but if it can be functional and stable then I still fancy us to be able to win regularly.... so I'd opt for a defensive double pivot. Most of all, I'd change the CB pair and go with youth.

Im not playing a weakened team here. We are not travelling far and to be honest we need to get a win on the board and fast as well as trying to improve the flow of the team. This could be our way unto the cl next season.
