Is Klopp placing too much hope and trust in firminho, hendo and wij that may lead to serious trouble and eventually as good as shooting himself in the foot? Time will tell.

Should have been played at home.  I blame the contractors at Anfield. ;)

Mignolet-- say no more. Need booting.
Clyne. At fault for the first goal. Clueless otherwise.
Lovren At fault for the first and second goals.
      Klaven. See Lovren
      Milner....Journeyman
Henderson Waste of space. Shouldn't be in the team let alone captain.
Lallana Did nothing. Too many turns. Seems to be a one trick pony.
Wijnaldum. not too bad but had nobody to support him.
      Firmino. Waste of space.
Sturridge. Lost his edge but suffering from poor midfield support.
Coutinho When he's good he's very very good. when he's bad....
Grujic. too little time to judge.
Origi A gem if only he could get support.
      Moreno. Sell him to Everton

Klopp Great motivator but judgement on players seems to be a suspect.

Maybe need a "none of the above" option for M.O.T.M.

      Didnt vote .  Dire performance.

As others have said, beating Arsenal don't mean a damn thing if follow that up with a poor performance at Burnley. You can beat every big team twice in a season all you want, but you play more minnows than big clubs.

One of our biggest problems was inconsistency; two games in and it looks that hasn't changed yet. Early days, though. But man, what a sh*t show that was.

When you don't have a midfield that puts pressure on the defence

we might go to Spurs and get a result but we all know that through this season we will have another 4 or 5 games like this and the points lost will be the difference between success and failure.

      Stats were great- 80% Liverpool
      20%  Burnley.

But the stats that matter 0-Liverpool 0 Burnley 2.

The team lacks cojones, and there is nobody there to lift them.

Where is the driving force of the team?

Get Stevie back from the States soon as.

Better ship out those consistently underperformed players and get some real quality in before situation becomes damaging and irrepairable.

Mane is our only player with genuine pace that can get in behind the defence.

That's not true though. Sturridge is capable, Origi is capable, Coutinho is capable but obviously Origi come on late and the other two didn't even try and run at their defence.

Klopp needs to get them doing that.

I really fear for Sturridge. He hasn't looked the player he looked the season he had with Suarez upfront. He needs to hit form soon. Maybe playing him out right isn't the best?

where has Sturridge gone the lad from 2013 who had a sublime touch and vision and could destroy defences on his own. He maybe fit now but his form has been woeful.

So to add to our woes, in the last year we've had a paedophile score against us (Adam Johnson), a violent bug eyed thuggish c*nt called Troy Deeney score against us and now a raging homophone in Troy Deeney, judging by his twitter account a few years back.

Sturridge is leading the line. that's different from Mane and where his position starts.
Coutinho playing left mid 90% OF THE TIME CUTS INTO THE MIDDLE. He will rarely go to the line or 'use his pace' (not much of it tbh) unless its running into the middle.
Origi could have played. Klopp decided otherwise.

Well we've got Can and Grujic who can play in that position.

Why didn't they start? Thats Klopps doing.

Also Can is decent IMO but he would not be my first choice as DM. But thats another topic.

its been so obvious for sometime they have set the sights on becoming the new Arsenal . this isn't a knee jerk reaction to today its been obvious now for sometime now we had a poor transfer policy

JWH went on TV and explicitly said they are a fan of and want to mimic the Arsenal model. It's no secret.

That being said. The manager should still get it right.

For anyone who hasn't seen the stats:

      Possession: 81% Liverpool.

      Shots: 26 Liverpool - 3 Burnley

      On Target: 5 Liverpool - 2 Burnley

      Corners: 12 Liverpool - 1 Burnley

      Fouls : 5 Liverpool - 14 Burnley

It's odd because looking at those stats it looks like we absolutely battered them but the distinct impression I got is we were only slightly threatening on a few occasions. Listening to Jürgen's press conference afterwards he puts it down a lot to decision making, basically shooting when the pass is better and passing poorly in the final 3rd. I think the problem is much larger than just that. We've had this problem occur far too frequently to think that the players will suddenly get the message, really do hope the next time we come up against a 'minnow' that we see nothing even resembling our play today.

Tell me class is permanent. Then it's down to poor mentality.

"Ah it's only Burnley, should be a walk in the park. Take it easy throughout the 90min. And who are those players from defence to midfield? Should be an effortless win."

on an Olympic theme I heard some one say over the last four years they treated every game like an Olympic final . We still have a problem and it is we are mentally weak as a team we feel sorry for ourselves and hide behind the stats suggesting having huge amounts of possession gives you the right to win games. Don't know about anyone else but I am sick and tired of the excuses just f***in do what your very well paid for.
