Fook me quite the inquest in here! Doesn't it usually come after the event?

Let's see how we go today before pointing fingers I reckon.

Fingers crossed Jürgen abandons the safety first approach of recent weeks and goes after this lot.

The Arse now level on Goal Difference with us after putting away four today.

      They're a point behind though aren't they?

Yes they are . I was pointing out the GD that they have made up to be level with us.

It could all come down to that ...so we not only have to win today and against the Boro next week but in doing so put a few away in case we drop points in one of the games.

To FSG and a lot of the current players. This is what you have to live up to.

If you can't meet this standard then don't bother with Liverpool FC.

Did you have to been trying to remain positive after the sh*t I witnessed last weekend but looking at that photo just makes you realise how far removed we are from them days , but silver linings and all that at least us older ones have the memory's,

We've been patchy, misfiring, and stumbling for a few games now.

Law of averages tells us we're due a good performance soon.

      I just hope it's today

I didn't say you did blame Klopp for 8 years of mismanagement, I did point out that the same scenario has prevailed for 8 years under these owners and Klopp is the latest to bear the burden of enforced economics that dictate he juggle with a squad lacking quality and strength in depth.

The odd injury, international duties and/or a solitary striker suffering a goal drought and we're fu**ed, not too long ago we were flying and a top 4 slot looked guaranteed....until our 8 year malady kicked in - again.

Be f**king made up if they do change their spots but sure as f**k I won't hold my breath.

As you say Stu  " the odd injury , international duties and /or a solitary striker suffering a goal drought and were fu**ed"

Thats proved with Mane and Ings .

F.S.G. came in and got the big earners off the payroll.

They then went out and bought quite frankly a load of turds for incredible money with Rodgers on board using their Moneyball approach .

They got their fingers burnt and to quote BR re the Spuds "to spend that kind of money you would want to be challenging for the title".  We did but we didnt.

Eventually the penny dropped re appointing a naive rookie manager ..    so they took Jürgen on and he has been under tight restrictions and each of the three windows has been a net spend.

It is obvious that only be achieving the CL is he going to get any money to buy quality players.

You can build as many stands as you want but to compete in the EPL money has to be spent every season in topping up a quality squad.

No panic here...i said a few weeks ago that this is exactly how we do things. The Liverpool way aka the hard way.
Expect a scrappy 1-0 win against West Ham followed by another scrappy win on the final day.

Old Liverpool teams won the hard way.

This Liverpool team folds under the slightest of pressure.

How about we stay positive and look to win our final 2 games to guarantee a top 4 finish?

The fact it takes people trying to keep the atmosphere positive tells you everything about our actual performances and results we have had in the games like the last two.

Teams who can relied upon to routinely win against the bottom half sides don't have fans who panic about not winning!!

The core of this side are bottlers and the same mistakes are being repeated over and over. There is good reason to assume this Liverpool have it well within themselves to throw it all away in two very winnable fixtures.

The fact Arsenal have two of the easiest last home games anyone could up for AND that they've done this year after year tells you its an absolutely necessity we take six points.

This should have been sealed weeks ago, the second half of this season has been sh*t and entirely self-inflicted.

Blimey,  if we're going to have an inquest let's wait till after the game tomorrow or after the Boro game, although the next 2 games could be the sliding doors moment for the foreseeable future. Successful and we sign Virgil Van Dyke, failure and we get Dick
Thing that he is a bit too old to play for us (Dick Van Dyke that is) but still would be an improvement on some we have at the Club  :f_whistle:

Sent our one of our best defenders out on loan, didn't but a genuine left back etc.

It not just the owners who need to take a long hard look. If we do make it into CL, then we are f'ing crawling there. Be live me it won't get any easier when Arsenal and the Mancs strengthen their squads. This would be a chance squandered.

What makes you think JWH&Co won't upgrade our squad to keep pace with our rivals?
      Could the answer be experience?

Back door for the CL. Perhaps if your under 23's  of played you might not of had to sweat for a top 4 spot then  :f_whistle:

The past 4 pages are an embarrassment...no faith at all and whining like little bitches.

      4 goals, another clean sheet.

      wwdwdwwlwdw.

      Last 11  W7-D3-L1 ....24 points out of a potential 33 available 2.18 ppg.

Yeah a bunch of bottlers they are.

      Chelsea 2014
      United at home in 2015
      FA Cup semi 2015
      League Cup 2016
      Europa League 2016

It's hardly an array of success under pressure, the bottlers tag won't fade till they do it when it matters.

Anyway, can't see us not doing it vs that tragic Boro side.

Really saw the benefits of Sturridge and Lallana on the pitch. Origi was better today with someone around him but still clear we need Sturridge or a Sturridge option next year.

      What has happened to everyone?

If you asked most of us back in August, that we had ECQ in our own hands with two games to go and just had to win them to get a play off, most would probably take it, not forecasting the apocalypse.

The ball is in our court, we have our fate in our own hands. We're almost over the line,  so can we just get behind the team for the home run, and leave the coulda woulda shouldas for the close season?

Been a fairly impressive points return since Spring arrived. Not only have we improved significantly in a season but we have had to contend with the most competitive top 6 in points terms for some time.

      One more win redmen.
