It'll be Sod's Law that we get Chelsea won't it. Personally i'd like Villareal or Barca as Rafa has Spanish teams sussed, then down the Scum in the final.
      That'd be EXTRA sweet.

I would love to draw Porto. Or Villareal, or Bayern. But you just get the feeling that we are going to come up against English opposition again.

Bring them though I say, we can beat anybody.

Hope we get an easy team in Da the draw but we never do.

We get Chelsea away 1st Leg or Mancs away 1st leg.

Someone said earlier that they'd like to draw ManUre, because we're the only side left capable of knocking them out.

Sounds right to me - of the teams left, I do feel they'd beat anyone else they'd be drawn against.

Give us Utd, then we can give them a footballing lesson (as well as a supporting lesson!) they might never forget. As if they could cope with the atmosphere at Anfield on a European night!

I don't mind who we get but one thing is for certain.

Nobody will want to get us  ;D

      Exactly right.

Simple answer is to ram it down their throats by sticking 4 past Van Der Sar.

For which the Quarters or the Semi?

Because the draw is such that you can't have it for both.

      Didn't know that.

I'll have Bayern in the quarters with the first leg at Anfield.

Then the Mancs in the semi with the second leg at Anfield.

We are by far the best side over two legs, especially if the second leg is at Anfield. We should therefore want the stronger sides in the quarters and semis. i.e. Barca and the mancs. that would set us up nicely for the final against whoever is unlucky enough to get through against us. It's so painfull to lose in the final.

Are you sure about that, i know last year when they did the draw for the quarters, you knew who you were playing in the semis and i know that the mancs were home 2nd leg in both the quarters and the semis,

surely it must be possible to be home in the 2nd leg in both the QF and the SF, for example, if all 4 of the teams that play home in the 2nd leg of the QF go through then 2 of them will be playing at home in the 2nd leg in the semi

Jd,you've got that one wrong, theres not a rule stating that if a team is draw away in the quarter first leg, that they are automatically put in a semi final first leg at home if they get through or vise versa.

Our Champions League run a couple of years ago we had PSV away first  (3-0) and the 2nd leg at home (1-0) and then the semi finals we had Chelsea away first leg (0-1) and the 2nd leg we won at home on pk so you can luck out in the draw and get 2nd leg home in both the QF/SF.

Anyone but United. We'll beat them in the final in Rome ;D in all seriousness though, I would happily take Villareal, Porto and Bayern.
Prefer to beat  them in the semis and have Barca for the Final.Don't care about the draw,we're good enough to win it.
A  first tie with Porto however(away first leg!)would give Rafa the chance to save players for the Prem run in.
