Haha watched that live last night on FIFA.com

Sterling was fantastic again. He has to be the best player in the tournament so far.

No doubt, we really have a superstar on our hands if he continues to progress in that manner.

I wish i could say that king was a star performer in the Australia Brazil game but his partner in the backing stood out for me a lot more. Australia were unlucky to lose.

Bloody hell. Netherlands controlling the whole game, loads of chances but not making them.  Then one counter, and a defender's mistake ends in Mexico's first chance and an immediate goal for them. 1-0. :P

      edit:

2-0. Pff. So much for that, we're out.

It's 2-2 now, but man, I'm happy this isn't our real national team because I'd be putting my head into a wall! Such a frustrating sight, their inability to finish chances, and clumsy too. And to top it off they didn't make a penalty.

Sorry to hear your boys didn't do so well this time Dexter.

Brad Smith starting tonight, only one of our lads I think.  Didn't catch who is on the bench.  It's very hot out there, 100+ degrees.

2-0 England, Clayton.  Shortly after that, another big bounce almost caught Pickford out again.  Kept his eye on it though and caught it safely.

All over, England finish top of the group.  Next up as far as I can see will be the third placed team of group A, B or F.  So Netherlands, Argentina or tbd if I'm reading this right?

      Young Reds star for England
      26th Jun 2011 - Latest News

Liverpool Academy starlet Brad Smith played the entire 90 minutes as England secured top spot in Group C of the FIFA U17 World Cup with a 2-0 victory over Uruguay on Saturday night.

Goals from Nathaniel Chalobah and Max Clayton ensured the Young Lions cruise through to the knockout stages having tallied seven points from their three matches in Mexico.

Smith was joined on the field by fellow Liverpool youngster Jack Dunn, who was introduced to the action as a 71st minute substitute.

Raheem Sterling, Matty Regan, Adam Morgan and Tyrell Belford watched the contest unfold from the bench.

England will now meet Argentina in Pachuca on June 30.

It looks damn near impossible at times to pass the ball sometimes in this Australia Denmark game.

We had no chance. Our team at this level is just sh*te and will be for a while. Could see much better results in about 5-10 years time.
