4-0 doesn't do that justice. The 42-3 shots stat comes closer to the story of the match. We ripped their nuts off, put them in a doggie bag, handed it to them, patted them on the head, and sent them on their way.
Thought we were excellent. High tempo, constantly positive, looking to get forward, full of confidence, created LOADS of chances, dangerous up front, dominant at the back, can't fault anything. We look a different side to the first half of the season. Klopp has done BRILLIANT to get the lads playing like they are right now. They look like the believe they will win every game, and not just that, they also look like if they go behind, that they won't be phased and will just keep banging away until they get through.
Gutted for Origi, hope the injury is not as bad as it looked. Really felt for the lad. Must be in the form of his career, heading into a European semi as first choice, and to have that happen would have felt like his guts had been ripped out getting carried off. Fingers crossed he can get back before season end.
MOTM to Milner, thought he was excellent tonight, Hendo and Can out, he has stepped up a notch, fair play to him. Really need him to keep this up in the semi and remainder of season.
That phase bout 10 mins from the end when the crowd were cheering every pass, was brilliant
The atmosphere has been transformed. Credit again to Jürgen. There is an element of 'if only' we had hit this vein sooner, but hey, there's plenty to play for, and if we can keep this level of performance going, will be a great way to go into the summer, looking forward to next season (plenty left in this one though!!!!!!!).
