FERGIE: CALDERON A DINOSAUR
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has blasted ex-Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon as a 'dinosaur' over his continuing talk about Cristiano Ronaldo.
Calderon said earlier in the week that Real had already agreed a deal for one of the leading players in the world to join the club in the summer, but Ferguson remains adamant that Ronaldo is going nowhere.
He told the Sunday Express: "All the talk about Cristiano was coming from Calderon. He is a dinosaur. He has been buried.
"He is just trying to cause trouble isn't he? He is just trying to cause trouble for the new president. It's him saying, 'it's up to you to deliver now'.
"You are never going to stop this game. It's going to go on and on, but we're happy with our end of things with Cristiano.
"It's certainly not the agent causing problems. He definitely wants Cristiano to stay here."
Meanwhile, United have been linked with a move for Huracan's teenage midfielder Javier Pastores.
The 19-year-old's agent, Marcelo Simonian, claimed: "We have received a ten million euros offer from Manchester United.
"But the player is not interested in money, as he wants to be transferred to a team where he can play regularly and where he can grow. We want the right team and the right project."
