He will be needed to set an example and we can rotate him and play him in Europa League so to bring it home, not like Keith's team did ;)

Keith’s team? That’s a new one but better that Billy Busters terminology  :lmao: Could see lot doing well in that competition, just stay away from Sevilla and you’ll go a long way.   ;D

It really does stagger me when players go at him , the guy will be remembered as one of our best captains and the man that raised the league title again

Will always have a place in the club and could be a legend

All this can be true and at the same time it could be argued time to move on.

For me if he's here I hope he fills in and is nowhere near first choice but I can see a scenario where it might not be the end of the world if he did move on.

He won’t be leaving for a while for a few reasons

And that includes he fills a crucial HG spot

Serious. Would literally be the weirdest move ever.

Hendo will be captain again next season, Virgil next and then it wouldn’t surprise me if it was Allison after him.

Our fans have been taught, if you are approaching 29 you are on the 'decline'. There is no convincing them otherwise.

Losing both Milner and Henderson in the same window would be a catastrophe.

Looks in fantastic condition. Don't imagine he'll be arsed about what people write on Twitter -- you don't get as far as he has whilst worrying too much about critics. That's one of the standout qualities which has distinguished his career. IMO his presence will be important this season and I bet if you asked the squad they would all agree too. I feel so relieved we have more options in midfield now as it means we can make better use of the older contingent, being able to choose the moments we use them based on form, fitness, the mood of the team, the opponent etc. instead of circumstances dictating to us. It's great to have that flexibility back.

Is that milly is disguise. Looks like he's spent the whole summer working out. Maybe he read my post about making Salah captain :-)

I guess he doesn't read Twitter at all, except at weekends. And just does his own thing. And rightly so! If you pay attention to all the criticism, you can forget your own abilities. He doesn't. Good guy :)
