It was never about controlling the midfield to win for us, with how this team is set up and the players we have, we'll have to absorb a lot of pressure and be resilient at the back and hit them on the counter as much as possible.

I think Rodgers has got this one a bit wrong. I'd have had Sterling on the bench and pushed Coutinho up on the wing and had Allen,  Gerrard and Henderson in midfield. I am doubtful over Coutinho ability to defend against Corzola.

cant help feeling we've got too much up front and not enough in the middle of the park. Might prove our undoing if we don't get a really fast tempo going from the start and get an early goal as we id against the bitters.
