Played well yesterday i thought. Picked up where he left off before the Asia Cup. One of the few who performed yesterday. I love his tenacity and his work ethic. He doesn't hide .... always at risk of a booking like but I accept that.

Totally agree. I can't remember him not giving 100% to the cause, his work rate being an attribute that shouldn't need highlighting with any Liverpool player. Best signing of the summer?

Certainly a shrewd signing for 16m. Glad it's starting to work out for him because he left a good team who he was captain of and I think are currently 3rd in the German league? When he wasn't getting a game and mac was getting played out of position instead I wondered if he'd regret joining us ... but since he got a little run he made it count and as I said he's picked up where he left off before the Asia Cup.

Endo could literally be having a stinker , but even then I know he will be giving 100%, chasing every ball, closing down,  trying to make every tackle and giving 100%. He's a little dynamo. Will he be here long term? Depends on the next gaffer but he's doing a great job currently.

He does mate. Just like Taki did and I liked him as well. Honest player and you know he is going to give everything every time he plays.

We suffered from lethargic starts for a good stretch of that season and now it's seemingly back. One of the few players who always starts a game in fifth gear and keeps it that way all the way to the final whistle is Wataru Endo.

I don't see a reason for him not to be an automatic starter, every game.

      He's top drawer.

Him and Harvey were our best 2 players yesterday, forced the player into an error when the ball fell back to Harvey who then set up Diaz, the ball over the top to Darwin who really should've scored, the clipped ball into Jota when he was being wrestled to the ground, it's great to have him back.

Agreed - Jones / Dom / Mac / Grav and Elliott need to battle it out for the other 2 spots

Didn't see the game yesterday but great to hear he continued his from from before.

For me he's the only real specialist number 6 we've got and it he's in form he plays and we worry about the tow ahead of him after that.

Someone will miss out but so be it.

I actually thought he s truggled the first 30 minutes and tbh, particularly as we were struggling to keep the ball and create but he he was excellent from there on in and had an excellent 2nd half. I've noticed he grows in confidence as the game goes on, his passing gets more expansive as he settles.

I've noticed the same thing. If he can get through the first 20-30 minutes he usually starts to take over the game. I thought his play in the 2nd half was as good as anyone. Plays with zero fear, but almost seems like a booking is needed to become.more calculated with his tackles and positioning. Once he's booked, he's on it and doesn't take some of those goofy chances

Well , earlier in the season when mac was struggling I was saying why isn't this lad playing? I'm sure there were reasons for it.

But he's in now and he's going nowhere. Works incredibly hard for the team, unselfish and great attitude. You don't captain your country, get the caps he has, plus captain your club and get a good rep in Germany if you can't play.

Made up to see him doing well and long may it continue. 16m was a great bit of business. Such an important position/cog in our setup and he's doing a great job. Picked up from were he left off before the Asia cup

He’s bang average, can’t believe the fandom he gets.

Sure he’s better than Fabinho but doesn’t say a lot seeing as though Fab’s legs fell off last season.

He gets beat very easily, has virtually zero recovery speed, so no wonder we are on the back foot so often when teams attack. He is good in the air though no doubt and has actually been better on the ball than without it.
Maybe it’s the fact he goes steaming into mistimed tackles that posters think makes him a world beater.

      A decent squad player.

Very harsh.  He's like our new Gini -- nothing flashy, but brings great balance to the side through his work rate and willingness to do the grafting.  Every great side needs a couple players like him.  He's not a great individual, but he is a great role player and teammate.

Can’t believe the fandom he gets? He’s been one of our best players in a number of games this season….take our last 2 for example.

Fans will always warm to a guy like Endo who gives his all and never stops trying. He may not have the quickest recovery pace…big deal. He also rarely gives the ball away and usually recovers the most balls and wins the most duels in the team. Not sure what more you wanted from a signing like this.

Love the kid. Won two big headers that set up the first two goals. Kids class and gets stuck in

I'm grateful he's back from the Asia Cup, he's been a very consistent performer and a solid base for our success this season. I find it reassuring when he's in the team, especially with our injury problems. We need someone like him.
