I don't watch snooker that much, only started really getting into it in January - but why are some best of 25 frames and others best of 19?

Ding and Hendry 8-8 cracking match finishes at 7pm. Coming up at 2.30 Ronnie/Mark Allen continues 4-4.

Ding/Hendry is a belter, living up to the expectation. Can't wait for the finish.

Hendry progresses to the quarters 13-10, but some fantastic stuff played from both Ding and Stephen tonight.

Just got back from me mates where we watched the Hendry/Ding match. Was top quality throughout and would of been a fitting final, shame Ding missed that red in the 23rd frame because the match deserved to go the distance and I wanted to see it go that far.

Well Ronnie is gone, Mark Allen won it 13-11. This was the best match so far , so much attacking, good quality safety and even a re-spotted black.

Well played Mark Allen. Very desereved winner but Ronnie played his part as well. Fantastic match and another that could easily of been a fitting final. The tournament is wide open now and all the players will be fancying their chances of taking the crown.

Hendry - Murphy looks an exciting prospect. I'm actually going to go all out and say Hendry could win the tournament - he looks in good form right now.

Selby 6-2 up on Dott, Maguire and King tied at 4-4 both matches continue in the morninig.

Yeah I saw that, then when Selby fouled it, the ref picked it up and allowed Dott ball in hand,that's what confused me
