Citeh will bankrupt any club that attempts to outspend them at this rate. Its a hidous display that shows once again that the FA might aswell just release a statement that says...

We have no control over any of our clubs and will sit idly by as they all run themselves into the ground in the name of ever increasing corporate greed

Agree, the FA havent got the balls to step in and make a stand though.

They are the new Chelsea, a Chav is a Chav no matter how much money you have...look at Rooney!

Even if they did step in i wouldn't put it past them accepting a backhander to not take any action.

      25 is correct.

8 of which have to be homegrown and four out of that eight have to be have trained at your club for at least three years before the age of 21 which is why they were so desperate to keep hold of Joe Hart. He'll be one, Micah Richards, Nedum Onouha and I'd imagine Steven Ireland or Michael Johnson to be the fourth. Their other four will probably be Bridge, Lescott, Barry and Given.

A home-grown player will be defined as one who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the Season during which he turns 21).‬‪

Clubs will be able to supplement their squads with unlimited additional players under the age of 21 on 1st January in the year in which the season commences.

HG is not limited to the club.
      That's why they want Milner.

Impossible to know that unless you gave a hell of a lot of realistic and well estimated guesses for about 60 players :P

I expect them to win the league in the next 2 or at max 3 seasons that because the rest of the Premiership seems to be broke.

Still can't get my head around why any wealthy Sheiks would want to buy them they are a joke of a team having to pay players 3 times what anyone else will just to get them to there mickey mouse club.

I don't know, doesn't one worry about chemistry when putting together a team? Buying a bunch of players could end up wasting money if they can't play together.

That is because they were up against the best Barc team in there history with the highest points won in the history of the league. Barc also spent close to £90 million as well.

Real got 96 points the highest in there history, sadly money does talk and City will win the league in the next couple of seasons.

Could not give a toss about City, they are for me becoming the new Chelsea, Spending like a kid in a sweet shop.

As David Dickinson would say, they are a Liquorice Allsort.

Now If we had been given all that money, would we have spent on all sorts of "quality", "money grabbing mercenaries"? I'd like to think not. I'd like to feel we would have bought just a few top notch players to compliment the team we already had.

I wonder how many of their players have been "Long life City fans", Robbie Keane please step up!

Will they bollocks, allthough if that rumour I heard about Rafa turning up there, you could be well right, but under Mancini, I doubt it.

Manchester City have given a trial to the son of one of the former stars of The A-Team. Roland Benedict, 20, whose father, Dirk, played Templeton 'Faceman' Peck in the 1980s television show, has been training with City's development squad. (the Times)

Former star of rock band Oasis, Noel Gallagher, claims more top players are on their way to Manchester City after he had discussions over lunch with chief executive Garry Cook.

Sorry, Messi was already at the club, they bought Ibrahimovic, who was a complete flop i.m.o. 40 million plus eto'o!? inter did VERY well out of that, they also brought Pedro through their ranks, and now they've just bought David Villa...who will probably make them even better, but ok lets look at it, Barca have spent about £35 million on one player, and it doesnt really look like they are going to add to that? last season their only big buy was Ibrahimovic who flopped, so didnt have that much of an impact...ok yes...he scored 15 goals...but then  again, in previous seasons Crouch did for us...doesn't make him a title winning player. Barca have a great team and they sell to buy, i.e. buying Villa...selling Toure...ok theres question marks over the finances but they should be able to balance their books, they generate ALOT of revenue through other ways. Real Madrid on the other hand, go on a 'galacticos' spending spree, sign alonso for 30 million...ronaldo for 80...there we go...already more than Villas transfer fee...and they still don't win the league...the best players absolutely do not always make the best team.

Man City will not win the league until they are organised and use the right personnel in the right way...compare midfields...
                                          Toure
                           De Jong               Barry
      Adam Johnson                                       Silva

you're telling me that could match Iniesta, Xavi, Messi, Pedro and Busquets?
or Alonso, Ronaldo, Kaka, Gago, Canales...and so on?
I know they aren't competing against Barca and Real...and thats just the midfield, theres the defences and attacks to compare still but I don't feel i need to do that to prove my point
But i know who I'd rather have as an overall midfield out of say
      Masch, Gerrard, Aquilani, Jovanovic, Maxi
      A. Johnson, Toure, Barry, Silva(okay we'd all have loved him at liverpool)

Wheres your evidence that money does speak boy?

Had a big post in answer to you but it got erased so i'll keep it short, Barc spent £87 million last Summer after winning the triple the previous season.

What is my evidence that money talks, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Inter, Barc and Real and I'm sure I could name any team from any league around the world that finished first or second in there league. All the biggest spenders in there respective leagues.

Looks like Man Citeh are going to be signing another player, how many players they hope to have on their squad.

Kolarov set for £17m Man City switch
Manchester City are on the verge of signing Serbia left back Aleksandar Kolarov after Lazio reportedly accepted a £17 million bid for the 24-year-old free-kick specialist.

Aleksandar Kolarov played for Serbia at the World Cup

Kolarov started two of Serbia's World Cup matches in South Africa and is one of the most highly sought-after defenders in Europe this summer, with Real Madrid in particular linked with a big-money move for the player.

City have already secured David Silva, Yaya Toure and Jerome Boateng in their latest spending spree and have been heavily linked with James Milner and Edin Dzeko as well, meaning their summer spending will almost certainly break through the £100 million barrier.

Kolarov would likely take the place of Wayne Bridge in City's starting XI as manager Roberto Mancini seeks to build a team capable of challenging for the Premier League title.

Lazio coach Edy Reja said: "Kolarov at Manchester City? His transfer is in the finishing straight. We are very careful about what happens around us. Some players will leave and they will be replaced by much stronger players."

However, there is some confusion as to the status of the transfer, with Lazio president Claudio Lotito saying: "Right now Aleksandar is a Lazio player and there is no agreement with Manchester City because I have not received a written offer."
