Our Formation With Suarez & Carroll?

Does anyone know what our formation would look like with both of our star forwards fit and available?

I would say I traditional 4-3-3 but I could also see us using some sort of diamond in the middle but with this we have much better wing play.

I don't see KK doing away with the defence formation of three centre halves and two wing backs anytime soon. Bit of a dilemma I might add.

It is clear that the core of the midfield must remain, Gerrard, Miereles and Lucas. Then you have a brilliant rejuvenated Dirk Kuyt and Luis Suarez.

I guess, Andy Carrol will often time force the defence formation to revert back to two centre halves; not anytime soon though.

I could see something like this as well if KK wants to stay with the defensive look.

Without Kuyt? That will be new. But it looks good.

I think what will happen is Kuyt will be in for a few games while Carroll gets a feel for things but I think eventually we use him as a spark off the bench. Kuyt has played much better recently but he still does not put the pressure on a defense that Suarez does. Suarez is exceptional with his cuts. I think Carroll needs some time to adjust but with Johnson and Kelly firing crosses in then he is the perfect target man.

If we have the 5 strong backline and the two new signings start as well as Gerrard that leaves only two spots for the likes of Lucas, Kuyt, Meireles, Maxi, (Pacheco). Considering Sotis and Carra are not young enough to consider for the future.. I hope we see a 4 man backline solidified.

If we don't spend heavily in the summer and hear too much of the "only spend what we can afford" I'm not going to feel good. We have a great (aging) list though that under King Kenny can land us a place in Europe...

Said about 6 weeks ago that we should got to a back 3 and hence a 3-5-2 formation. Its the only system that is adaptable enough to play to our strengths.
If we continue with it ( a system that I think really suits us and is a great foundation for the next 6 months)then I see that we need only 3 new players to make it really work....CB,LWB and DM.
With our current players it is flexible enough to allow players like gerrard, raul and suarez the freesom to roam into the wide channels and still have a focus in carroll.
For the foreseeable future I would like us to continue down this route. 

After the recent weeks, all I can say is that I have blind faith in whatever formation the King decides to choose.

I could see something like this as well if KK wants to stay with the defensive look.

Defensive look??? I think this is both a defensive and offensive look!!! IMO this is the look that will will us the EPL title next year... We need more depth in the back (left and right) and the addition of a maestro DM (Banega).

I think this formation gets our best 11 out there. Don't know how well it suits Suarez but I think this could be the winner.

I think when Carroll is fit, and if we continue to play 3 CB's that Kuyt's days of consistent first team football may be numbered 

Definitely think a 3-5-2 with little and large upfront can work. Most likely we'll then see Maxi and Kuyt drop to the bench. Quality team

Suarez and Carroll sh*t that makes my mouth water!

Almost similar to the one hobbes posted. However, I don't think it really matters, though because under Kenny, I see alot of movements. Carragher and Agger would go wide as a RB/LB sometimes. Kelly and Johnson are up and down all the time. Lucas, well, he's everywhere Gerrard and Meireles either inter change or one sits back while one pushes up.

I noticed whenever we attack, the outfield players (bar the centre backs and Lucas) all push up to support. When defending, we keep the shape and close down really fast.

I believe Kenny would know what to do.

Drops into a 4-5-1 when we don't have the ball, 4-3-3 when we do. Laughing.

I like this and we need a bit of width, but with Carroll's ability we don't need to be hitting the corners, he'll win good ball from wherever

Will Kenny change the formation to suit the players when Carroll is available or will he stick to his method he has used recently? I would prefer Suarez to be higher up the pitch that Meireles would operate from right now.
