He was fantastic. MOTM by a country mile.

He's not been his best this season so far but if this is a sign of things to come then we're in for a treat.

He was just awesome last night. A real beast. When he scored, I said, "Gerrard, leave this body!"

Give credit where it's due, he is still improving and is even more impactful now. That's great for us. A good leader and a very good football player, can't ask for much more from him.

As T. Henry said, he is a player you need and must have in a team. His leadership is immense and his drive is needed. I was always supportive, you can go back years because he always should that he wants to improve and be better.

I have always supported Hendo because he has never given us anything other than his best and he has developed and improved every season.
What I do find hilarious is how Slothgate prefers Kane as Capt and two avg midfielders who have won nothing before Hendo.

Very worried about Hendo's form this season as it shows no real sign of improving apart from a few sporadic moments.

Lucky boy to have got his contract extension sorted before this awful run of form.

Thought Fab was equally as poor today. Milly does what he does. Keita didn't do much when he came on. AOC is a passenger.

Not a single one of them played well, they were all as bad as each other. When Ox and Keita came on they couldn’t have looked less enthusiastic and up for it.

Not excusing Hendo and Fab, they are pros, but they are the two players who shoulder the weight all the time, and they can only go to well so many times.

Was same last year.

We haven't invested enough in the squad, particularly in the midfield in the summer. For me it's that simple. We have a lot of other midfield players but Jürgen will go to these two all the time, and one other, in the important matches.

And until we have realistic alternatives THAT CAN STAY FIT FOR 10 MINS can't see how this won't keep happening.

Hendo and Fab not the problem IMO but we are looking for the 3rd midfielder to play regularly to add the creativity and still put in a shift.

His form has fallen off a cliff face.
