If we had splashed out the other £6mil on Sturridge we may well have been a lot closer to the CL spots.Wesley is a good fit and another quality player to add to the squad.

It's not the investment part that will worry FSG, but the the knock-on effects of bringing in a £130+ a week player.

Jon,I think both those reasons apply in this case,the club would certainly lap up any free publicity that is not damaging to its health.The press often make something out of nothing and 99% of their assumptions never materialise regarding L.F.C. and player transfers.

Would be very surprised if he ends up here, to be honest. Thinking Galatasaray despite some of the latest hold-ups.

Not a done deal, but almost, says his agent Lerby to Voetbal International. Apparently Sneijder is signing the contract tomorrow, he's currently on his way there.
