Never really clicked, but you could see a massive difference after we levelled when we pushed up more and then the game slowly turned as we shut Spurs out.

Completely agree with the comments regarding Downing - his performances have been pretty consistent during 2013.

Wasn't pretty, we didn't play as well as we can, but we got the result - which is what its all about.

Superb match from Downing, not so much because of his goal (it was well taken but not the most difficult of chances ), but he's done his job wonderfully. Some great passes and a Dirk Kuyt like performance running up and down the right side. My MOTM.

Suarez did pretty well.
Coutinho was brilliant yet again.
Even Welsh Xavi put in a good shift.

Sturridge was dreadful.

I don't know how to describe Sturridge's performance... lazy, maybe. Not enough energy, perhaps because he was coming back from injury, and he really should have done better from some of the passes he received.

Lucas still isn't back to his best, I'm afraid.

As for Jones, he doesn't even look like a professional keeper at times. He's bizarre.

Stevie my MOTM. He was our best defender, and his passes were fantastic. Our forwards should have done better with some of them
