With Klopp saying that injuries will be the only reason we dip back into the market with Thiago news wonder if we will pull the trigger on a signing or trust in Naby/Elliott to fill the void while he is out.
Either way disappointing for Thiago, I know we would probably have to manage his minutes because he has fitness issue but for this to happen right off away is frustrating for everyone.
Thiago going down really does suck, but it may be a blessing in disguise. We needed to be active in the market to compete with City. I hate that Thiago is hurt, but let's be real, it was only a matter of time. He is world class when fit, and Kieta is a strong player, albeit a step down from Thiagos class. However, relying on either of them for any length of time is asking for trouble.
Jones and Ox are good players, but when your competing on every front, you need better. They're squad cover at best. I could see us selling one of them and going for a upgrade at MF, as cover and the future.
